George I of the Hellenes
George I of the Hellenes was the King of Greece from 1863 until his assassination in 1913. Born on December 24, 1845, in Denmark, he was a member of the House of Glücksburg. George I played a significant role in modernizing Greece and expanding its territory during his reign.
He was the first king of Greece after the country became a monarchy, and his rule saw the establishment of a constitutional monarchy.
