George FitzRoy, 2nd Duke of Grafton
George FitzRoy, 2nd Duke of Grafton (1735-1811), was a British nobleman and politician. He was born to the House of FitzRoy, a prominent family, and became the Duke in 1757 after his father's death. Grafton served as the Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1768 to 1770, during a time of political turmoil and colonial unrest.
As Prime Minister, Grafton faced challenges such as the American Revolution and issues related to the British Parliament. His leadership was marked by instability, leading to his resignation in 1770. After leaving office, he continued to play a role in politics and held various positions in the House of Lords.
