George Edward Stanhope Molyneux Herbert, known as the 5th Earl of Carnarvon, was a British aristocrat born on June 26, 1866. He is best known for his role in the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, alongside the archaeologist Howard Carter.
