George Herbert
George Herbert was a 17th-century Welsh poet, orator, and Anglican priest known for his religious poetry. Born in 1593, he studied at Cambridge University and later became the rector of St. Andrew's Church in Bemerton, England. His work often reflects his deep faith and explores themes of spirituality and devotion.
Herbert's most famous collection, titled The Temple, features poems that blend personal reflection with religious imagery.
