Geography of Armenia
The geography of Armenia is characterized by its mountainous terrain, with the majority of the country situated in the Armenian Highlands. The average elevation is about 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest countries in the world. The Mount Ararat, a national symbol, is located just across the border in Turkey and is a prominent feature in Armenian culture.
