General Mark A. Milley is a senior military officer in the United States Army. He has served as the 20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff since September 2019, advising the President and other senior leaders on military matters. Milley has a distinguished career, having held various leadership positions, including Commanding General of the United States Army Forces Command. Born on June 18, 1958, in Winchester, Massachusetts, Milley graduated from Princeton University and was commissioned as an officer in 1980.
