Gemsbok
The Gemsbok is a large antelope native to the arid regions of southern Africa, particularly in countries like Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. It is known for its striking appearance, featuring long, straight horns that can reach up to 4 feet in length. Gemsboks have a distinctive coat with a tan body and white markings on the face, legs, and belly, which help them blend into their desert surroundings.
Gemsboks are well-adapted to harsh environments, able to survive long periods without water by obtaining moisture from the plants they eat. They are social animals, often found in small herds, and are known for their agility and speed, which help them evade predators such as lions and hyenas.
