Gelato Making
Gelato making is a process that involves combining milk, cream, sugar, and flavorings to create a smooth and creamy frozen dessert. Unlike traditional ice cream, gelato has a lower fat content and is churned at a slower speed, which incorporates less air. This results in a denser texture and more intense flavors.
The mixture is heated to pasteurize the ingredients, then cooled and aged for several hours. After aging, it is churned in a gelato machine until it reaches the desired consistency. Finally, the gelato is stored at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream, allowing it to remain soft and easy to scoop.
