Gaston de Foix
Gaston de Foix was a French nobleman and military leader born in 1489. He was a member of the House of Foix and became known for his role in the Italian Wars, particularly for his leadership in the Battle of Ravenna in 1512, where he achieved a significant victory against the Spanish forces.
Despite his military successes, Gaston de Foix's life was cut short when he was killed in battle at the age of 22. His untimely death was a considerable loss for France, as he was seen as a promising commander who could have further influenced the course of the Italian Wars.
