Gamma Cephei Ab
Gamma Cephei Ab is an exoplanet located approximately 45 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Cepheus. It orbits the star Gamma Cephei, which is a binary star system consisting of a main sequence star and a companion star. The planet is classified as a gas giant and is about 1.5 times the mass of Jupiter.
Discovered in 2002, Gamma Cephei Ab has an orbital period of around 2.5 years. Its distance from its host star places it in the habitable zone, where conditions might allow for the presence of liquid water, although its gas giant nature suggests it is unlikely to support life as we know it.
