GERB party
The GERB party, or Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, is a political party in Bulgaria founded in 2006. It is a center-right party that promotes pro-European Union policies, economic development, and anti-corruption measures. The party has been influential in Bulgarian politics, having formed several governments since its inception.
GERB is led by Boyko Borisov, a former Prime Minister of Bulgaria. The party has focused on issues such as infrastructure development, public safety, and social welfare. It has faced criticism and challenges, particularly regarding its handling of corruption and governance, but remains a significant player in the country's political landscape.
