Gàidhlig
Gàidhlig is a Celtic language primarily spoken in Scotland, particularly in the Hebrides and the Scottish Highlands. It is one of the oldest languages in Europe, with roots tracing back to the Gaelic languages of ancient Ireland. Gàidhlig is recognized as a minority language and has seen efforts for revitalization in recent years.
The language is closely related to Irish and Manx, sharing similar vocabulary and grammar. Gàidhlig is taught in schools and used in media, including radio and television. Cultural events, such as the Royal National Mòd, celebrate Gàidhlig language and culture, promoting its use among younger generations.
