Fulk I
Fulk I, also known as Fulk the Red, was a prominent nobleman in the early medieval period, specifically in the region of Anjou in modern-day France. He was born around 890 and became the Count of Anjou in 930. Fulk I is known for his efforts to expand his territory and strengthen his family's influence during a time of political fragmentation in Western Europe.
Fulk I was a key figure in the establishment of the House of Anjou, which would later play a significant role in the history of France and England. His reign marked the beginning of a lineage that would produce several notable rulers, including his grandson, Fulk IV, who became King of Jerusalem.
