Fulk IV
Fulk IV, also known as Fulk the Black, was a prominent nobleman in medieval France. He was born around 1043 and became the Count of Anjou in 1068. Fulk IV was known for his military prowess and played a significant role in the politics of the region, often engaging in conflicts with neighboring territories.
In 1092, Fulk IV became the Count of Jerusalem after marrying Melisende, the daughter of the previous ruler. His reign in the Holy Land was marked by efforts to strengthen the Christian presence there, as well as navigating the complex relationships with Muslim leaders. Fulk IV's legacy includes his contributions to the Crusader states and the establishment of alliances.
