Fuego Volcano
Fuego Volcano is an active stratovolcano located in Guatemala, about 35 kilometers southwest of the capital, Guatemala City. It stands at approximately 3,763 meters (12,346 feet) and is one of Central America's most active volcanoes, frequently erupting with explosive activity and lava flows.
The volcano is part of the Central American Volcanic Arc and is known for its symmetrical cone shape. Its eruptions can produce ash plumes that affect nearby communities and air travel. The surrounding area is rich in biodiversity, making it a significant site for both geological study and ecological research.
