Frigidarium
The Frigidarium was a cold room in ancient Roman baths, designed for cooling off after using the hot baths. It featured a large pool of cold water, allowing bathers to refresh themselves and close their pores after the heat of the Caldarium.
Typically adorned with beautiful mosaics and marble, the Frigidarium served both functional and aesthetic purposes. It was an essential part of the Roman bathing experience, promoting relaxation and social interaction among visitors. The design of the Frigidarium influenced later spa architecture throughout history.
