Frederick V Of The Palatinate
Frederick V of the Palatinate (1596-1632) was a German prince known for his brief reign as the King of Bohemia. He was a member of the House of Wittelsbach and became king in 1619 during the Thirty Years' War, but his rule lasted only one winter, ending in 1620 after his defeat at the Battle of White Mountain.
Frederick was also the Elector Palatine, a title that gave him significant political influence in the Holy Roman Empire. His marriage to Elizabeth Stuart, the daughter of James I of England, aimed to strengthen ties between England and the Palatinate, but his reign was marked by conflict and instability.
