Frederick Augustus III
Frederick Augustus III was the last king of Saxony, reigning from 1904 until the end of World War I in 1918. He was born on May 25, 1865, and was a member of the House of Wettin. His reign saw significant political changes in Europe, leading to the eventual fall of monarchies after the war.
After the war, Frederick Augustus III abdicated the throne and went into exile. He lived in Dresden and later in Germany until his death on February 18, 1932. His abdication marked the end of the royal lineage in Saxony, transitioning the region into a republic.
