Francis Jeffrey
Francis Jeffrey (1773-1850) was a Scottish lawyer, critic, and literary editor known for his influential role in the early 19th-century literary scene. He co-founded the Edinburgh Review in 1802, which became a prominent platform for discussing literature, politics, and culture. Jeffrey's sharp critiques and insightful essays helped shape public opinion and promote the works of various authors.
