Francis Egerton, 8th Duke of Sutherland
Francis Egerton, 8th Duke of Sutherland (1800-1861), was a British nobleman known for his significant contributions to the arts and agriculture. He inherited the title from his father and became a prominent figure in the House of Lords. The Duke was also a patron of the Scottish artist J.M.W. Turner, supporting his work and promoting the arts during his time.
