Fragrance Types
Fragrance types are categorized based on their concentration of aromatic compounds. The main categories include parfum, which has the highest concentration (20-30%), followed by eau de parfum (15-20%), eau de toilette (5-15%), and eau de cologne (2-5%). Each type offers a different intensity and longevity, with parfum lasting the longest.
Additionally, fragrances are often classified by their scent families, such as floral, woody, oriental, and fresh. Each family contains various notes that create unique blends. For example, floral fragrances may include notes like rose or jasmine, while woody fragrances might feature sandalwood or cedar.
