Forty-seven Ronin
"Forty-seven Ronin" is a famous Japanese tale about a group of samurai who become ronin after their master, Asano Naganori, is forced to commit seppuku for attacking a court official named Kira Yoshinaka. The ronin, led by Oishi Yoshio, seek to avenge their master's death, demonstrating loyalty and honor.
After planning for over a year, the ronin attack Kira's mansion, successfully killing him. They then turn themselves in, choosing to die honorably rather than live as outlaws. Their story is celebrated in Japanese culture as a symbol of loyalty, sacrifice, and the samurai code of bushido.
