Formosan rock macaque
The Formosan rock macaque is a species of monkey native to the island of Taiwan. It is known for its robust build, long tail, and distinctive facial features. These macaques typically inhabit mountainous regions and forests, where they live in social groups. Their diet mainly consists of fruits, leaves, and insects.
This species is also referred to as the Taiwan macaque and is the only non-human primate found in Taiwan.
