Ford GPA
The Ford GPA is an amphibious vehicle produced during World War II, designed for both land and water operations. It was based on the Ford GPW, a military jeep, and featured a hull that allowed it to float and navigate in water. The GPA was equipped with a propeller for movement in water and could carry a small crew and cargo.
Introduced in 1942, the Ford GPA was used by the U.S. military for various purposes, including reconnaissance and troop transport. Despite its innovative design, the vehicle faced challenges in performance and was eventually replaced by more advanced amphibious vehicles in later conflicts.
