DUKW
The DUKW, commonly known as the "Duck," is an amphibious vehicle developed during World War II. It was designed to transport troops and supplies from ships to shore, capable of operating both on land and in water. The DUKW features a six-wheel drive system and a boat-like hull, allowing it to navigate various terrains.
Originally built by GMC, the DUKW was used extensively by the U.S. military during the war, particularly in the Normandy landings. Its versatility and reliability made it a valuable asset for logistics and support operations, and many DUKWs remain in use today for tourism and recreation.
