Fomalhaut
Fomalhaut is a bright star located in the constellation Piscis Austrinus, also known as the Southern Fish. It is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and is approximately 25 light-years away from Earth. Fomalhaut is classified as a spectral type A3V star, which means it is hotter and more massive than our Sun.
In addition to being a prominent star, Fomalhaut is notable for its surrounding debris disk, which suggests the presence of a planetary system. In 2008, astronomers discovered a planet, named Fomalhaut b, within this disk, making it one of the first exoplanets directly imaged.
