Fogg Behavior Model
The Fogg Behavior Model is a framework developed by BJ Fogg that explains how behavior is influenced by three key elements: motivation, ability, and prompts. According to the model, for a behavior to occur, all three elements must converge at the same time. If any one of these elements is missing or insufficient, the desired behavior is less likely to happen.
Motivation refers to the desire to perform a behavior, while ability is about how easy or difficult it is to do so. Prompts are cues that trigger the behavior. The model emphasizes that by adjusting these elements, individuals and organizations can effectively encourage positive behavior change.
