Flight Response
The "Flight Response" is a natural reaction to perceived danger, where an individual instinctively chooses to escape rather than confront a threat. This response is part of the body's fight-or-flight response, a survival mechanism that prepares the body to either fight or flee from danger. When faced with a threat, the body releases stress hormones like adrenaline, increasing heart rate and energy levels to facilitate quick movement.
This response is often triggered by situations that induce fear or anxiety, such as encountering a wild animal or facing a stressful situation. The amygdala, a part of the brain responsible for processing emotions, plays a key role in activating the flight response. Understanding this reaction can help individuals manage their responses to stress and anxiety in everyday life.
