Flerovium
Flerovium is a synthetic element with the symbol Fl and atomic number 114. It was first created in 1998 by a team of Russian and American scientists at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia. Flerovium is classified as a post-transition metal and is part of the carbon group in the periodic table.
Due to its short half-life, Flerovium is highly unstable and has only been produced in minute amounts. Its most stable isotope, Fl-289, has a half-life of about 2.6 milliseconds. Because of its rarity and instability, Flerovium has no significant practical applications and is primarily of interest for scientific research.
