Flat Feet
Flat feet, also known as pes planus, is a condition where the arches of the feet are lower than normal or absent. This means that the entire sole of the foot comes into contact with the ground when standing. Flat feet can be present at birth or develop over time due to factors like aging, injury, or certain medical conditions.
While many people with flat feet experience no symptoms, some may have discomfort or pain in the feet, ankles, or legs. Treatment options include supportive footwear, orthotic inserts, and exercises to strengthen the foot muscles. In severe cases, surgery may be considered.
