Flamborough Lighthouse
Flamborough Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the Flamborough Headland in East Yorkshire, England. Built in 1806, it stands 85 feet tall and is made of white chalk, making it a prominent landmark along the rugged coastline. The lighthouse was designed by the architect John Smeaton, who is known for his innovative engineering.
The lighthouse operates with a powerful light that can be seen from up to 28 miles away, guiding ships safely along the treacherous waters of the North Sea. It is still in use today and is managed by the Trinity House, an organization responsible for lighthouses and navigation in England.
