Fizzing (Effervescence)
Fizzing, or effervescence, refers to the formation of bubbles in a liquid, often seen in carbonated beverages like soda or sparkling water. This phenomenon occurs when dissolved gases, such as carbon dioxide, escape from the liquid, creating visible bubbles that rise to the surface.
The process of fizzing can also be observed in certain chemical reactions, where gases are produced as byproducts. For example, when baking soda reacts with vinegar, it releases carbon dioxide, resulting in a fizzy effect. Effervescence is not only a sensory experience but also an indicator of chemical activity.
