Five K's
The "Five K's" are five articles of faith and practice in the Sikh religion, symbolizing the commitment of Sikhs to their beliefs. These items are Kesh (uncut hair), Kanga (a wooden comb), Kara (a steel bracelet), Kachera (cotton undergarments), and Kirpan (a ceremonial sword). Each item represents a specific aspect of Sikh values and identity.
Wearing the Five K's is mandatory for initiated Sikhs, known as Khalsa, who follow the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. The Five K's serve as a constant reminder of their faith, discipline, and the importance of living a righteous life.
