Fish Behavior
Fish behavior varies widely among species, influenced by factors such as environment, social structure, and feeding habits. Many fish are social creatures, often found in schools for protection against predators. They communicate through body language, color changes, and sounds, which help establish dominance and attract mates.
Feeding behavior also differs; some fish are herbivores, while others are carnivores or omnivores. For instance, clownfish feed on small invertebrates, while parrotfish graze on algae. Additionally, many fish exhibit territorial behavior, defending their space from intruders, which is crucial for their survival and reproduction.
