First Folio
The First Folio is a collection of 36 plays by the playwright William Shakespeare, published in 1623. It is considered one of the most important books in English literature, as it was the first time many of Shakespeare's works were compiled and printed. The collection includes famous plays such as Hamlet, Macbeth, and The Tempest.
Published seven years after Shakespeare's death, the First Folio was assembled by his friends and fellow actors, John Heminges and Henry Condell. It aimed to preserve his works for future generations. The First Folio significantly contributed to the understanding and appreciation of Shakespeare's literary legacy.
