Fiat CR.42
The Fiat CR.42 is a biplane fighter aircraft that was designed and built by the Italian company Fiat in the late 1930s. It first flew in 1938 and was known for its agility and maneuverability, making it effective in dogfights during its operational period. The CR.42 was primarily used by the Italian Air Force during World War II.
Equipped with a radial engine, the CR.42 had a maximum speed of around 350 km/h (217 mph) and could carry a small payload of bombs or machine guns. Despite being outclassed by more advanced monoplanes, it remained in service due to its robust design and ease of maintenance.
