Ferdinand II of Naples
Ferdinand II of Naples was the King of Naples from 1496 until his death in 1497. He was a member of the Aragonese dynasty and the son of Ferdinand I of Naples. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen royal authority and maintain peace in the region, which was often troubled by conflicts and rival claims to the throne.
Ferdinand II's rule was relatively short, lasting only about a year, as he died unexpectedly. His death led to a succession crisis, ultimately resulting in the ascension of his half-brother, Frederick IV of Naples. Ferdinand II's legacy is often overshadowed by the political turmoil that followed his reign.
