Female Reproduction
Female reproduction involves the biological processes that enable the production of eggs, or ova, and the potential for pregnancy. The primary organs involved are the ovaries, which release eggs during the menstrual cycle, and the uterus, where a fertilized egg can develop into a fetus.
During reproduction, sperm from a male fertilizes an egg, leading to the formation of a zygote. This zygote then implants in the lining of the uterus, where it can grow into a baby over approximately nine months, culminating in childbirth. Hormones like estrogen and progesterone play crucial roles in regulating these processes.
