Federal Parliamentary Assembly
The Federal Parliamentary Assembly is the legislative body of the Swiss Confederation. It consists of two chambers: the National Council and the Council of States. Together, these chambers are responsible for creating laws, approving budgets, and overseeing the federal government.
Members of the National Council are elected by the public, while the Council of States represents the cantons. The Assembly meets in Bern, the capital of Switzerland, and plays a crucial role in the country's democratic process by ensuring that various interests are represented in the law-making process.
