FSBPT
The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) is a non-profit organization that supports the regulatory boards overseeing the practice of physical therapy in the United States. Established in 1987, its primary mission is to protect the public by ensuring that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants meet high standards of education and practice.
FSBPT provides various services, including developing and administering the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE), which is required for licensure. The organization also offers resources and guidance to state boards, helping them maintain effective regulatory practices and promote public safety in the field of physical therapy.
