Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) is a non-profit organization that supports the regulation of physical therapy in the United States. It works with state boards to ensure that physical therapists meet the necessary standards for practice. The FSBPT also develops and administers the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE), which is required for licensure.
In addition to examination services, the FSBPT provides resources and guidance on best practices for state boards. It promotes public safety and the integrity of the profession by facilitating communication and collaboration among its members, which include various state regulatory boards.
