Fénelon
Fénelon was a French theologian, poet, and writer born in 1651. He is best known for his work "Télémaque," which explores themes of education and governance through the adventures of its titular character, Télémaque. Fénelon served as a tutor to the Duke of Burgundy, the grandson of King Louis XIV, which influenced his ideas on leadership and morality.
In addition to his literary contributions, Fénelon was a prominent figure in the Jansenist movement, advocating for a more personal and heartfelt approach to faith. His writings often emphasized the importance of humility, love, and the inner life of the soul, making him a significant figure in both religious and philosophical thought during the French Enlightenment.
