Evening Primrose
Evening primrose is a flowering plant native to North America, known for its bright yellow blooms that open in the evening. Its scientific name is Oenothera biennis, and it typically grows in fields and along roadsides. The plant can reach heights of up to 1.2 meters (4 feet) and has long, slender leaves.
The seeds of evening primrose are often used to produce evening primrose oil, which is rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid. This oil is commonly taken as a dietary supplement for various health benefits, including skin health and hormonal balance.
