Eustace II of Boulogne
Eustace II of Boulogne was a notable nobleman in the 11th century, known for his role as the Count of Boulogne. He was born around 1020 and was a key figure during the early years of the Norman Conquest of England. Eustace was the son of Eustace I of Boulogne and played a significant part in the military campaigns of his time.
Eustace II is perhaps best remembered for his involvement in the First Crusade, where he joined other leaders in the quest to capture Jerusalem. He was also the brother-in-law of King Stephen of England, which further solidified his influence in medieval politics. Eustace died in 1093, leaving a legacy as a prominent lord of his era.
