European mink
The European mink is a small carnivorous mammal native to Europe and parts of Asia. It has a slender body, short legs, and a bushy tail, typically measuring about 30 to 40 centimeters in length. The fur is dark brown, with a lighter patch on the throat, and it primarily inhabits forests, wetlands, and riverbanks.
This species is known for its elusive nature and is mostly nocturnal. The European mink primarily feeds on small mammals, birds, and fish. Unfortunately, it faces threats from habitat loss, pollution, and competition with the American mink, leading to a decline in its population and conservation concerns.
