American Mink
The American Mink is a small, semi-aquatic mammal native to North America. It has a slender body, short legs, and a long, bushy tail, typically measuring about 20 to 30 inches in length. The fur is soft and dense, usually dark brown, with a lighter underbelly. Minks are known for their agility and are excellent swimmers, often found near rivers, lakes, and marshes.
These animals primarily feed on small mammals, birds, fish, and amphibians. American Minks are solitary creatures, marking their territory with scent. They play a role in the ecosystem by helping control populations of their prey species.
