European Viper
The European Viper, also known as Vipera berus, is a venomous snake found across Europe and parts of Asia. It typically inhabits forests, grasslands, and wetlands. This species is recognizable by its distinctive zigzag pattern along its back, which can vary in color from brown to gray or black.
European Vipers are relatively small, usually measuring between 60 to 90 centimeters in length. They are primarily active during the day and feed on small mammals, birds, and amphibians. While their venom can be harmful, bites are rarely fatal to humans, and they often seek to avoid confrontation.
