European Tree Frog
The European Tree Frog (Hyla cinerea) is a small amphibian found across Europe, particularly in wetlands, forests, and gardens. It is easily recognized by its bright green color and distinctive vocalizations, especially during the breeding season. These frogs typically measure about 3 to 5 centimeters in length and have adhesive toe pads that help them climb trees and shrubs.
European Tree Frogs are primarily nocturnal and feed on insects and other small invertebrates. They prefer warm, humid environments and are often found near water bodies, where they lay their eggs. Their populations are affected by habitat loss and pollution, making conservation efforts important.
