European Pied Flycatcher
The European Pied Flycatcher is a small migratory bird belonging to the family Muscicapidae. It is primarily found in woodlands across Europe and parts of North Africa during the breeding season. The male has a striking black and white plumage, while the female is more subdued with brown and white colors.
These birds typically nest in tree cavities or old woodpecker holes, laying around 4 to 7 eggs. They feed mainly on insects, catching them in mid-air, which makes them skilled hunters. The European Pied Flycatcher migrates to sub-Saharan Africa for the winter, returning to Europe in spring.
