European Neighbourhood Policy
The European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) is a foreign relations initiative by the European Union (EU) aimed at fostering stability, security, and prosperity in countries bordering the EU. It was established in 2004 to strengthen political and economic ties with neighboring countries in Eastern Europe, the Southern Mediterranean, and the Caucasus region.
Through the ENP, the EU provides support in areas such as trade, governance, and social development. The policy encourages reforms and cooperation, helping neighboring countries align more closely with EU standards and values, while also addressing shared challenges like migration and security.
